Romantic dinner on board the Concorde aircraft

Concorde was a supersonic passenger plane. It was the result of a governmental treaty between the French and British governments, combining the efforts of Aerospace and British Aircraft Corporation. It had a cruise speed of 2,04 Mach (2,200 km / h) for optimum fuel consumption (minimum supersonic strength).

Air France and British Airways were the only airlines that had this type of aircraft. One of these is parked at Manchester Airport, has the G-BOAC reg and is under the tutelage of British Airways.

So this year the airline thought of something new. British Airways has launched a charity auction and is offering a Valentine's Day dinner aboard a Concorde as a prize! The winning couple will have a welcome on the red carpet, flower petals, champagne and a menu consisting of 3 dishes chosen by a renowned chef.

Wishers should email [email protected] before 23.59 on February 12 and mention the offer for this dinner. The starting price is £ 500, and the winner will be announced on February 13th. All proceeds from the auction will go to "Flying Start", the British Airways charity in collaboration with Comic Relief.
