The month of September was dotted with many notable events. One of these took place in Rome on September 20-22, 2017, where ASUS launched its newest collection of smartphones under the name ZenFone 4: Zenfone 4, Zenfone 4 Pro, Zenfone 4 MAX, Zenfone 4 Selfie and Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro.

I had the pleasure to attend one of the biggest events of the ASUS brand, on which occasion I also tested the new smartphone. From the position of traveler, I can say that the new phone impressed me with the camera, autonomy and performance. But in this article I will tell more about the camera.

ASUS ZenFone 4 is a smartphone with a diagonal of 5.5 inches, which takes the legacy of the ZenFone line further with a premium and carefully finished design. I really appreciated the fact that it is a compact smartphone with no embossed elements. Even the lens of the camera is at the housing level.

The main camera has 12MP and is equipped with Sony IMX362 image sensors plus a wide-angle lens and F1.8 aperture to capture photos up to 5x brighter and clearer under poor lighting conditions.

Benefiting from wide viewing angles up to 120 °, we were able to completely photograph certain buildings and sights. At the same time, it is no longer a problem when you have more people or larger landscapes to photograph.

Thus, I was able to fully photograph Fontana della Barcaccia and Fontana di Trevi without putting too much effort.

The photos were taken on Auto, without getting too complicated in the settings. It has a "Super resolution" function with which you can get photos at very high resolutions and with as much detail as possible.

The Professional mode offers complete control over the camera, allowing you to adjust the shutter speed, white balance, shutter speed and ISO settings with a single tap on the screen, as well as the option to record photos in RAW format.
