Royal Brunei Airlines has chosen Airbus A320neo

On 5 May 2014, Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) signed a contract with Airbus for seven A320neo aircraft, plus three options, which were part of the final phase of the fleet modernization program. The aircraft will be equipped with two modern classrooms and will be operated on the airline's regional network, which connects Bandar Seri Begawan with destinations across Asia. The aircraft will be powered by Pratt & Whitney PW1100G-JM engines.

Royal Brunei Airlines the operation of airplanes from the A320 family, from 2003 has begun. The new A320neo will be more efficient with 15% on fuel consumption and reduced environmental impact. At the same time, the new A320 family aircraft will provide increased passenger comfort.

Airbus has collected orders for 10 200 from aircraft in the A320 family, of which it delivered over 6000 units. The new version A320neo will bring more efficient engines and Sharklet terminals to the wings, together offering a fuel consumption reduction of up to 15%. At the end of March 2014, the new version of A320neo has collected orders for 2700 aircraft, from 50 customers.
