Wizz Air announced five new routes on Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH). The routes will connect the capital of the United Arab Emirates with Budapest and Bucharest from July 2020 and with Sofia, Cluj-Napoca, Katowice from September 2020, provided that the resumption of aviation activities in those countries. Wizz Air becomes the first European low cost carrier to launch flights to Abu Dhabi.
As mentioned above, one of the routes is Bucharest - Abu Dhabi. Between July 1 and September 30, 2020, Wizz Air will operate 2 weekly flights on Wednesday and Sunday. After September 30th, Wizz Air will operate 3 weekly flights on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday.
