RYANAIR announces base in Riga: 2 planes and 16 new routes in the winter season!

Ryanair announced today (April 28) the base in Riga, Latvia. Two aircraft will be allocated, operating up to 95 weekly flights on 30 routes in total, including 16 new routes connecting Riga to a number of international destinations in Europe. The base will be open starting with the winter season 2021-2022, more precisely from the end of October 2021.

This new base represents a $ 200 million investment and will provide increased connectivity to the region, playing a key role in reviving the local economy.

Ryanair program at the Riga base in the winter season 2021-2022:

  • Two aircraft based (a $ 200 million investment) - creating 60 direct jobs
  • 95 flights a week
  • 30 of routes in total
  • 16 new routes with flights to Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Norway, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Ukraine and the United Kingdom.

Latvian consumers and tourists can now plan their winter getaway, until March 2022, with rates from 19,99EURO / segment. The RYANAIR promotion is valid until May 1, 2021. The flights will be operated by the Buzz subsidiary.
