RYANAIR has found the solution for the "ghost flights" operated by Lufthansa Group airlines!

The other day, Lufthansa Group airlines announced that they had to operate more than 18 "ghost flights" in order not to lose the take-off and landing slots reserved at major airports. At the same time Luthansa Group canceled about 33 flights between January and March 2022.

In this context, RYANAIR has found the solution for the "ghost flights" operated by Lufthansa Group airlines! Obviously it's a more ironic solution. CEO Michael O'Leary urges Lufthansa Group to sell tickets at very low rates so that they no longer fly empty planes.

"If Lufthansa really needs to operate these flights (only to prevent these slots from being issued to competing airlines), then they should be required to sell these seats to the public at low rates," said RYANAIR CEO. Michael O'Leary.

"Europeans deserve this, given that they have saved airlines from bankruptcy through the € 12 billion financial incentives offered by the governments of the countries in which they operate. Lufthansa, Brussels Airlines, Swiss and Austrian Airlines received billions of euros in state aid. So, instead of flying empty planes, sell airline tickets at the lowest fares to reward the citizens of those countries, "he said. O'Leary.

Obviously, the stakes of these "stings" between RYANAIR and Lufthansa Group are due to the abusively occupied slots. RYANAIR calls on the European Commission to force subsidized airlines such as Lufthansa Grouă to release unused slots. Or if Lufthansa does not want to give up slots, then sell tickets at the lowest rates and there will be no fear of "ghost flights".
