RYANAIR in Romania and plans for the 2017 summer season
Autumn started with a conference Ryanair. I was hoping for some major news from Europe's largest low-cost operator, but it wasn't. officials RYANAIR they did a brief recap of the company at European level, but also for Romania.
RYANAIR in Romania
The 2017 summer schedule and the operational network from the 2 Romanian bases were announced. In the near future, RYANAIR will inaugurate new routes departing from Bucharest. On 2 September, it will open Bucharest - Berlin, on 9 November will inaugurate Bucharest - Bristol, and from 28 March 2017 will fly on the route Bucharest - Palermo, Sicily.
The Bucharest - Timisoara route was inaugurated today. During the period 1 September - 31 October 2016, a daily flight will be operated. Starting with 1 November 2016, RYANAIR will operate two daily flights.
Also from the 2017 summer season, RYANAIR will increase the frequency of flights on the Brussels, Dublin and Milan routes. RYANAIR hopes to transport 1.9 million passengers during the 26 March 2016 - 25 March 2017. The operational base in Bucharest will be officially inaugurated at the end of October 2016. 1400 jobs in related services are also estimated. According to ACI (Airports Council International), 750 of jobs associated with 1 million passengers are generated.
We conclude the whole story in a few words: RYANAIR base in Bucharest will be inaugurated on 30 October 2016; 3 aircraft will be allocated, 104 weekly flights will be operated on 13 routes.
