Ryanair is preparing for its biggest expansion in Madrid. In the summer season 2021, RYANAIR will have an extensive program with 59 routes, which will be honored with a fleet of 13 aircraft. Basically, the investment of 1.1 billion EURO refers to the 13 planes that will be allocated to the base at Madrid-Barajas Airport. The calendar also includes three new routes to La Palma, Canary Islands; Venice, Italy; Billund, Denmark.

According to RYANAIR, this new summer program will generate 400 direct aviation-related jobs and more than 5 indirect jobs in the Spanish capital.

With the lifting of restrictions in Europe, Spain is at a very good time to benefit from Ryanair's growth plan, which calls on the Spanish government to take a few further steps to put the country at the forefront of European tourism.

After a two-year hiatus in the travel industry, Ryanair can ensure the rapid recovery of air traffic, tourism and jobs that Spain needs at the moment. He called on the Spanish government to support its growth plan by reducing rates and air fares at all its airports.
