RYANAIR and Wizz Air together carried almost 1 million passengers in March

The largest low-cost carriers in Europe, RYANAIR and WIZZ AIR, presented the figures for March 2021. The effects of the pandemic are still being felt, and the restrictions imposed by the authorities have put a brake on the planes.

RYANAIR announced that it carried around 500 passengers in March, 000% less than in the same month in 91. And in the last 2020 months, RYANAIR carried 12 million passengers, down 27.5% from the previous period when reported 81 million passengers. The loading rate of the aircraft was 148.6%.

Wizz Air reported trans 480 passengers, down more than 000% from the same period last year. The loading rate of the aircraft was 72%, decreasing by 62.5 percentage points. In the last 29.4 months, Wizz Air has carried 12 million passengers, down 10.18% from the previous period.

Unfortunately, aviation and tourism are still under siege by the COVID-19 pandemic. But market signals announce a relaunch of both industries starting in May.

In Romania, Wizz Air and Ryanair have announced the resumption of flights on several routes suspended, but also a number of new routes. Here we remind you of the RYANAIR routes: Bucharest - Zadar (from July 3); flights from Suceava to Milan and Rome (from July 1, 2021); Sibiu - Corfu (from July 3); Suceava - Rhodes (from July 1). But also the new Wizz Air routes: flights from Cluj to Zakynthos and Mykonos; flights from Iasi to Santorini (from June 13); flights from Bucharest to Zakynthos and Corfu.
