Russia's S7 Airlines (Siberia) will reactivate several Ilyushin Il-96 and Il-86 cargo planes, Russian Transport Minister Vitali Savelyev told a meeting of the Russian Federation Council's economic policy committee on Tuesday ( March 22). "We have reached an agreement with the Minister of Industry and Trade, Denis Manturov. S7 Airlines, under my patronage, will take five aircraft, two Ilyushin Il-96 and three Ilyushin Il-86 cargo. We will turn them into passenger planes and use them on flights. "Savelyev said during the meeting.
S7 Aviation Group is a private aviation holding company that operates passenger flights under the S7 Airlines brand. It was founded by Vladislav and Natalya Filev. S7 Airlines has not yet answered questions from Interfax.
