Saudi Arabian Airlines will be the launch customer for Airbus A330-300 Regional

Saudi Arabian Airlines, Saudi Arabia's national airline, will become the world's first airline with Airbus A330-300 Regional in the fleet. This widebody aircraft will join the 12 A330-300 and 50 A320 already existing in the Saudi Arabian Airlines fleet.

The increase in the number of passengers in Saudi Arabia is large, both on domestic and regional routes. The new A330-300 Regional variant is specially designed for regional and domestic flights. Airbus A330-300 Regional is set to boost the multi-route transport capability operated by Saudi Arabian Airlines and allow the airline to better serve Saudi and regional destinations.

Reducing fuel / seat consumption and maintenance costs will result in an overall cost reduction of up to 26% compared to the current version of A330-300 for long haul flights.
