Scoot receives the first Boeing 787-9 in the fleet (Video)
Scoot, a low-cost subsidiary of the air operator Singapore Airlines, received the first Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. Boeing 787 will enable the Scoot air carrier to continue to provide reliable and reliable services with increased passenger comfort.

Singapore Airlines has ordered for Scoot 20 of Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft (10 x 787-8 and 10 x 787-9). The first of the 10 787-9 was delivered, to enter the operational service from 5 February 2015.
Boeing 787-9 (9V-OJA), named "Dream Start", operated the first flight on January 12, 2015. It is powered by two Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines. It offers a transport capacity of up to 375 passengers, in a two-class configuration: 35 seats in Business Class and 340 places in Economy Class.
Scoot plans to retire the 6 Boeing 777-200ER aircraft, starting in mid-2015, while the new 787 Dreamliner aircraft will enter the fleet. The first Boeing 787-8 (335 seating capacity) is expected in Q3 2015.
Scoot also announced the first flights it will operate with the Boeing 787-9. On February 5, the aircraft will fly on the route Singapore - Perth, and on February 6 it will fly on the route Singapore - Hong Kong. Scoot also unveiled plans to expand into Northeast Asia and Nanjing, China. On August 1, the Boeing 787-9 Scoot will fly on the route Singapore - Nanjing, on August 2 it will operate Singapore - Taipei Taoyuan - Seoul Incheo, and from September 1 it will fly on the route Singapore - Taipei Taoyuan - Tokyo Narita.
