Scoot received the first three Airbus A321neo aircraft

Scoot, the low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, has become the new operator of the Airbus A321neo, following the arrival in Singapore of the first three aircraft of this type. All three aircraft are leased from BOC Aviation.

Scoot's A321neo aircraft are powered by Pratt & Whitney PW1100G engines and have 236 seats, configured in a single class. The cockpit has the Airbus Cabin Flex design that allows optimal use of space. Scoot will operate A321neo aircraft on routes lasting up to six hours from Singapore.

A321neo is a member of the A320neo family. Scoot has ordered a total of 39 aircraft from Airbus (including six A321neo aircraft) and will purchase another 10 A321neo aircraft through leases. All Scoot A320neo aircraft will be supported by Airbus services as part of a personalized flight assistance package covering component availability and repair, as well as technical fleet management.

The A320neo family incorporates the latest technologies, including next-generation engines and Sharklets, offering a 20% reduction in fuel consumption per seat. At the end of May 2021, the A320neo family won 7.400 firm orders from over 120 customers worldwide.
