In the summer of 2020, Lufthansa will still allocate 2 Airbus A380 aircraft to the Munich base. Thus, in the summer season 2020, Lufthansa will operate with 7 Airbus A380 aircraft from the base in Munich. The other 7 remain allocated to the Frankfurt base.
In 2020, passengers will be able to experience A380 flights on 5 routes departing from Munich. These are Boston, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Beijing and Shanghai.

Lufthansa currently operates Airbus A380 from Munich to Los Angeles, Beijing and Hong Kong. In the winter season 2019 / 2020, the super-jumbo will fly to San Francisco, Miami and Hong Kong (until December 2019), as well as Shanghai (starting January 2020).
On 17 March 2018, the first Airbus A380 Lufthansa arrived at the base in Munich. It was the D-AIMB aircraft. Here after 2 years (that is in 2020), the Lufthansa base in Munich will name 7 the Airbus A380 aircraft.
