Singapore Airlines (SIA) has signed a letter of intent (LoI) with Airbus for seven A350F cargo planes. The new A350F aircraft will replace the current Singapore Airlines B747-400F cargo aircraft by the fourth quarter of 2025.

Related to the A350F, Airbus has received board approval to build a cargo derivative from the A350 family, designed to meet the imminent wave of large cargo aircraft replacements and environmental requirements. The A350F will be powered by state-of-the-art, fuel-efficient Rolls-Royce Trent-XWB97 engines.

The A350F will have a high level of commonality with the A350 passenger versions. With a payload capacity of 109 tons, the A350F will serve all markets. The aircraft has a large cargo door on the main deck. At the same time, its fuselage is optimized around industry standard pallets and containers.

Singapore Airlines is the largest A350 operator in the world, with 56 aircraft currently in service. For Airbus, the agreement with Singapore Airlines is the third commitment received for the new A350F.
