GullivAir, a Bulgarian airline based in Sofia, announced the route Sofia - Burgas starting on August 15, 2021. The flights will be operated with the new ATR 72-600 aircraft. According to the schedule, the flights will be daily. It will fly from Sofia to Burgas every night at 18:00. The return flight Burgas - Sofia is scheduled every morning at 08:00. The ticket price will be 59.78BGN, the lowest fare charged, informs flightzone.bg.
GullivAir representatives announced that the new Sofia - Burgas route will be operated throughout the year, as long as there are passengers. ATR 72-600 aircraft can carry up to 70 passengers / flight.
Also on August 12, GullivAir officials mentioned that they are interested in flying on the Sofia - Ruse route. Ruse Airport, also known as Shtraklevo after the village in the north, is a former military and passenger airport located about 20 km south of the city of Ruse, Bulgaria. This route would be a premiere if it materializes.
Ruse authorities are interested in the new air route. They have begun to restore the terminal and airport infrastructure. Locals would travel faster between Ruse and Sofia, a journey that can now take up to 5 hours on the roads or by train.
Currently, the GullivAir fleet consists of 3 Airbus A330 aircraft and 3 ATR 72-600 aircraft. The company is known in Romania for the exotic charters operated from Bucharest, in the winter season 2020-2021.
