Starbow Airlines suspends its activity after a plane crash
On 25 November 2017, an ATR 72-500 Starbow Airlines aircraft was involved in a plane crash. It took place at the airport in Ghana.
Starbow Airlines, a privately owned airline in Ghana, ceased operations after ATR 72-500 (9G-SBF) was involved in a plane crash.
On 25 November 2017, the ATR 72-500 aircraft (9G-SBF) was preparing to operate flight S9104, on the route Accra-Kotoka (Ghana) - Kumasi (Ghana). It started running on track 21, during heavy rainfall.

Unfortunately, the aircraft slid to the left and stopped at the fence surrounding the airport, the 1 engine being destroyed by the impact of barbed wire. There were 68 persons aboard the aircraft. Only one person suffered minor injuries.
Although the accident did not result in casualties, Starbow Airlines officials decided to suspend all flights until further notice.
The ATR 72-500 (9G-SBF) was received on 22 in November and suffered serious damage following the accident. Currently, the Starbow Airlines fleet also includes a BAE Systems Avro RJ100 aircraft.
