Monday is the fifth day of the strike at the Bucharest Transport Company (STB), after the negotiations failed. However, some of the company's means of transport are on the routes. 20% of drivers and injured people drove on the streets of Bucharest.

STB Director, Adrian Crit: "We notified all employees about their duties, we filed criminal complaints against those who started the illegal strike.

We apply everything written in the Labor Code against employees who have not performed their duties. Lists are made of people who have violated the collective bargaining agreement, the situation must be remedied. Those who are not present at work for three consecutive days will have their employment contract terminated. We want quality staff, we will be tougher in staff selection. Salaries in STB are motivating.

There are thousands of employees, I'm not saying they'll all leave. We will launch a disciplinary investigation, I will not do it. It will be analyzed case by case. There are lists of those who did not show up for work. After they are verified, analysis commissions are made, the employees are notified and we do what is written in the contract.

At 7 o'clock, the official report of STB showed that 148 buses, trolleybuses and trams are on the route, out of the 697 scheduled. Most of those who gave up the strike on the fifth day are the trolleybus drivers, the fewest - the bus drivers.

Another attempt at negotiation failed before it could begin. Vasile Petrariu, the leader of the trade unionists, announced that he will not go, at 9 o'clock, to the talks with the director Adrian Criț.
