SWISS has reached an agreement for six Boeing 777-300ER

SWISS, Lufthansa Group's airline operator, has reached an agreement with Boeing for six 777-300ER (Extended Range) aircraft. The order is valued at EUR 1.9 billion, calculated at the list price. Although the financial position of the group is not bright, airlines order aircraft for fleet renewal.

Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) wants to rejuvenate its long-haul aircraft fleet. Boeing 777-300ER is a superb two-engined aircraft, which can carry up to 386 passengers over a maximum distance of 14 490 km. SWISS flies to 69 from destinations in 37 countries, operating a fleet of 90 aircraft. They recently announced the opening of the route Zurich-Singapore from 12 to 2013.
