On February 20, 2020, Swiss International Air Lines received the first A320neo. It is part of an order of 25 aircraft from the A320neo family (17 x A320neo and 8 x A321neo). The newly arrived aircraft in Zurich was named "Engelberg".

The new generation of single-aisle aircraft - the A320neo - offers increased passenger comfort, 20% lower fuel consumption than the previous generation and a lower operating cost.

The Airbus A320neo (HB-JDA) was delivered from the Airbus base in Hamburg. He landed in Zurich on the morning of February 20, at 10:57.

Taking into account flight autonomy of up to 4200 kilometers, the new Airbus A320neo SWISS aircraft will be used on routes in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. It can carry up to 180 passengers in Business and Economy classes.
