Sydney - Dallas - the longest non-stop air route

1 1.147

In the fall of last year, Singapore Airlines decided to give up the routes Singapore - Newark (15 km in 350 hours) and Singapore - Los Angeles (14 km in 100:18 hours), these being also the longest routes operated by an airline, without a stopover. The flights were honored with Airbus A340-500 aircraft, the only ones that could provide the necessary autonomy.

The A340-500 aircraft will be removed from the fleet starting later this year, and the vacant seats will be taken by the new Airbus A350 aircraft. Singapore Airlines will fly to Los Angeles via Tokyo and New York via Frankfurt, both routes being operated by Airbus A380 aircraft.

Sydney - Dallas Fort Worth (13 Km)

Thus, the distance record is claimed by the route Sydney - Dallas Fort Worth (13 Km). It is operated by Qantas Airways with Boeing 747-400ER aircraft. The flight duration is approximately 15 hours and 30 minutes, non-stop in the shower, on the route Sydney - Dallas Fort Worth. The return Dallas Fort Worth - Sydney stops in Brisbane. Due to the drafts, the return needs a stopover.

The non - stop time record is claimed by Delta Air Lines. The American carrier honors the route Atlanta - Johannesburg (12 km) in 700 hours, a bit slow in my opinion!
