TAM covered an Airbus A320 with 10 000 of photos received from passengers (video)
More and more airlines are engaging social media communities in their marketing "games" and that is what I enjoy. To celebrate 20 years of "TAM Fidelidade" (loyalty program), the Brazilian air carrier involved fans on facebook and asked them to take pictures with their faces to make a beautiful anniversary livery.
TAM received over 25 000 photos, but used 10 000 to cover an Airbus A320 (PR-TYH). The action was carried out in collaboration with the Wundermann Agency. The images were fixed on the fuselage at São Paulo-Congonhas airport, in the presence of marketing and maintenance teams. On December 10, the aircraft covered with 10 000 portraits operated the first flight on the São Paulo - Curitiba route.
Because they received so many photos, TAM will prepare a collage that they will implement on a new aircraft at the beginning of 2014.
