TAP Air Portugal, whose upcoming reprivatisation is attracting interest from the Air France-KLM group, indicated that it has doubled its passenger numbers to return to profit in the third quarter of 2022 with a net profit of 111 million euros. Portugal's national airline, whose difficulties have increased with the Covid-19 pandemic, was fully renationalized in 2020 in exchange for a restructuring plan imposed by Brussels. The 3,2 billion euro loan needed for the rescue plan provided for, among other things, a reduction in the workforce, a reduction in wages or a reduction in its fleet.
