TAP Air Portugal will launch new flights. From Lisbon to Cape Town, Cancun and Agadir
The COVID-19 pandemic has put on the ground, both properly and figuratively, commercial aviation and global tourism. We have the impression that everything has stopped. People are isolated in their homes, implementing social distancing.
Thousands of aircraft are grounded and we see them parked all over the world. Airports, which are normally full of passengers, are now empty.
TAP Air Portugal will launch 3 new routes
In all this sad picture, we have some optimistic news. Wuhan Airport opened after 76 days of isolation. And many other airlines are making plans for the future. TAP Air Portugal, a member of Star Alliance, is already thinking about the winter season 2020-2021.
Thus, the Portuguese air carrier will launch 3 new routes. It will fly from Portugal to Cape Town (South Africa), Cancun (Mexico) and Agadir (Morocco).
Flights Lisbon - Cape Town
Lisbon - Cape Town flights will be launched on November 11, 2020. Initially, three weekly flights will be operated with Airbus A3-330neo aircraft. It will operate after the following time:

TP276 Cape Town 02:05 - 11:30 Lisbon Monday, Thursday, Saturday
Flights Lisbon - Cancun
The flights Lisbon - Cancun will be launched on October 27, 2020. To begin with, 3 weekly flights will be operated with Airbus A330-900neo aircraft. It will operate after the following time:
TP176 Lisbon 09:35 - 15:00 Cancun Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday
TP177 Cancun 16:30 pm - 06:30 pm + 1 Lisbon Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday
Flights Lisbon - Agadir
The flights Lisbon - Agadir will be launched on October 25, 2020. To begin with, there will be 4 weekly flights with airplanes of type ATR 72. It will operate after the following time:

BONUS: TAP Air Portugal has opened reservations for the Ponta Delgada - Toronto route. The flights will launch on June 25, 2020. It will fly with Airbus A321LR aircraft. But everything will depend on the evolution of the pandemic with the new coronavirus.
