TAP launches EconomyXtra / Total flexibility for customers in choosing the on-board service

Starting with the October 27 2019, TAP Air Portugal offers its customers a new experience on board its mid-range aircraft. In addition to the two traditional transport classes, Economy and Business Class, TAP is launching EconomyXtra, a new way to travel in the Economy cab.

Customers can now choose from the three different experiences on board, the one that will best suit their preferences or needs: • Executive (Business Class cabin) • EconomyXtra (Economy Class cabin, front row) • Economy (Economy Class cabin , standard rows).

TAP customers, with Classic or Plus type airfare and Miles & Go Gold and Navigator TAP loyalty cards, are automatically differentiated and benefit from the superior experience offered by EconomyXtra.

TAP launches EconomyXtra

Customers traveling with Basic or Discount rates can purchase all the benefits of EconomyXtra at the time of booking or at a later date. The price of this additional service varies by route. For example, for the Budapest - Lisbon TAP flight, passengers who initially opt for the Discount or Basic fare can later add the EconomyXtra service, paying an additional 28 Euro / sense fee.

We remind that all Economy Class TAP fares departing from Bucharest (indirect route to Lisbon) start from the Classic type, so passengers who bought TAP Air Portugal tickets will automatically benefit from EconomyXtra service on TAP-operated route flights.

TAP continues to offer all passengers, traveling in Economy class, the free catering service based on the ticket purchased, but differentiated for the two categories, ExconomyXtra or Economy simple. As for the satisfaction of its passengers traveling on medium distances, such as intra-European ones, the company bets on a different service experience, depending on the cabin configuration and the fare purchased.
