TAP Portugal allows the use of electronic devices on board
As of January 14 2014, TAP Portugal has announced that it will allow the use of electronic devices on board aircraft in all phases of flight. Gadgets must be set in flight mode or equivalent, without Wi-Fi or Bluetooth enabled.
However, laptops cannot be used for take-off and landing. Portables need to be fixed for better passenger safety on the plane.
The new policy regarding the use of personal gadgets in the plane was adopted by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) from November 2013, but each airline will decide on the date and method of implementation.
