On 1 June 2012, starting at 11.00 hours, took place the first TAROM flight for children, during which the children attended a flying lesson in their own way, they learned new things about the pilot's activity and the stages of a flight, how to perform the aircraft inspection before taking off and visited the cockpit.

The flight lasted approx. 40 minutes, take-off and landing taking place at the "Henri Coandă" International Airport. The first race was operated with a ATR 72, with 68 passengers, half children and half companions. The 14.40 race was conducted with a Boeing 737-800 with approximately 200 people on board.

This year's flights take place on the days of 1 and 2 June 2012. Compared to the initial program, TAROM supplemented the flights:
- on June 1, from 1 flight with Airbus A318 it was changed to 2 flights - with ATR 72 and Boeing 737-800
- on June 2, two ATR 72 flights were initially announced and supplemented with another flight

The main partner of this event is the company OMV Petrom, which provides the fuel needed for the flights. Other partners of the event are: "Henri Coandă" International Airport, Alpha Rocas, Globe Ground and Heidi Chocolat.

At the landing, other surprises were prepared for the children: junior pilot diplomas, pilot insignia, flight manuals and more.

Initially I thought it would be great to pay 210 lei (companion + child) for a flight of 40 minutes, but when I saw the happiness and enthusiasm on the faces of the children, when getting off the aircraft, I realized that I was wrong. Plus it is a unique experience that you do not live at all times. Last year, on the day of the open TAROM gates, I behaved like the children of yesterday.
