The 15th edition of the most anticipated winter event in Sibiu, the Christmas Fair, will take place between November 11, 2022 and January 2, 2023. The Sibiu Christmas Fair, one of the most beautiful Christmas fairs in Romania, opened its doors on November 11.
As every year, the fair is organized in Piața Mare in Sibiu. About a hundred houses, an ice rink, a panoramic wheel where you can admire the city from above and Santa Claus' Workshop are just some of the surprises and attractions of this year's fair.
Economic instability and inflation are reflected in the prices of culinary products, but also in the prices of gifts from the fair in Sibiu. A glass of mulled wine costs between 10 and 12 lei, and a hot tea from 5 lei upwards.
Christmas decorations (from 15 lei) and handmade Marginime ceramics, a nice gift for the winter holidays (30-80 lei) are in high demand. The Christmas market in Sibiu is visited annually by tens of thousands of people and is one of the most beautiful in Transylvania.
