The alert status in Romania will be extended by 30 days, from January 13, 2021

On January 11, 2021, the National Committee for Emergency Situations approved Decision no. 3 on the proposal to extend the alert and the necessary measures, which will be applied during it to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Considering the analysis of the risk factors regarding the management of the emergency situation generated by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, on the Romanian territory on 07.01.2021, and taking into account the persistence of an increased number of infected persons on the national territory, as well as the daily occurrence of new cases of infected people, issues that generate a constant pressure on the management capacity of the administrative-territorial units and the health system, it was decided to extend the alert by 30 days.

According to Art.1 of the annex, it is proposed to extend the alert status throughout the national territory, for a period of 30 days, starting with 13.01.2021.

The traffic ban will be maintained in all localities, for all persons, except the home / household between 23: 00-05: 00, with a few exceptions. Travel in the professional interest can be made and then the verified person must present a service card or a certificate issued by the employer.

Travel can be made for personal purposes, but with justified reasons such as caring for the elderly, children, death, medical reasons, etc. In this case, the person verified by the competent bodies must submit a declaration on his own responsibility completed in advance.
