On 19 July 2016, Airbus will deliver the first Airbus A320neo Pegasus Airlines. Initially a ceremony had been announced, but it was canceled due to problems in Turkey. However, the European aircraft manufacturer will hand over the keys to the first A320neo from the Turkish low-cost carrier fleet.

Pegasus Airlines commanded 57 aircraft Airbus A320neo. They will be equipped with engines CFM International LEAP 1A. They will be configured to accommodate 180 passengers.
In addition to the A320neo aircraft, Pegasus also commissioned 18 aircraft of the A321neo type (220 seats). The contract signed in 2012 was estimated at 12 billion dollars, catalog price.
Airbus reminds that the Airbus A320neo Pegasus Airlines will be the first to be equipped with LEAP-1A engines. The seven aircraft delivered so far - Lufthansa (2), IndiGo (4) and GoAir (1) - are equipped with Pratt & Whitney PW1100G engines.
