On March 15, 2022, Lufthansa Cargo's first Airbus 321 cargo plane entered operational service. The aircraft took off at 16:21 (CET), under the code LH8350, from Frankfurt, Germany (FRA) to Dublin, Ireland (DUB), then continued to Manchester, UK (MAN). The aircraft, called "Hello Europe", was loaded with daily cargo.

Lufthansa Cargo names its aircraft by the destinations it will fly to. The name "Hello Europe" was chosen to greet the European countries to which the aircraft will fly. Customers, employees and journalists learned more about the new A321F in an event streamed online via live streaming.

Lufthansa Cargo operates 11 cargo planes, model Boeing 777F, but also the first A321F. The second A321F will be delivered this summer. Both A321Fs will be operated on a lease basis by Lufthansa CityLine.

Lufthansa Cargo also wants to enter the European market, especially in the online commerce sector. Lufthansa Cargo can now offer its customers the same day transport solutions in Europe. The new aircraft will serve a wide range of customers and routes, both scheduled and charter. Lufthansa Cargo is looking forward to providing the necessary capacity in the European market and to consolidating its position as a leader in European air freight.
