The first Airbus A321LR Air Astana was delivered

On 23 September 2019, the first Airbus A321LR Air Astana was delivered. The aircraft was acquired through the Air Lease Corporation (NYSE: AL) and will join the 18 Airbus aircraft in the Kazakh carrier fleet.

The Airbus A321LR Air Astana aircraft is configured in 2 comfort classes, with 16 seats in Business Class and 150 seats in Economy Class. Although we are talking about a single-aisle aircraft, the A321LR offers increased passenger comfort, which is similar to the one found on wide-body models.

Airbus A321LR (Long Range) is the extended version of the A321neo and can fly up to 7400 kilometers. Taking advantage of the increased autonomy, Air Astana will introduce this aircraft on its flights to Europe and Asia.

The A321LR is capable of long-haul flights, including flights from Europe and the United States. At the same time, a test aircraft A321LR flew 11 nonstop hours on the Seychelles - Toulouse route.
