The first Airbus A321LR TAP Air Portugal was delivered

On 5 April the first Airbus A321LR TAP Air Portugal was delivered. It is part of an order of 12 units. At the same time, TAP Air Portugal is the world's first airline with A321LR and A330neo in the fleet.

The aircraft A321LR TAP Air Portugal is powered by CFM engines and is configured to carry 171 passengers in 3 classes: 16 seats at Business Class, 48 seats at Premium Economy and 107 seats at Ecomomy.

The combination of A321LR and A330neo aircraft allows the Portuguese operator to cover demand on medium and long flights. Both aircraft come packaged with facilities for passengers, but also for the airline. This combination is also called "Airbus NEO Midsize Aircraft".

The first Airbus A321LR TAP Air Portugal will be introduced on the route Lisbon - Tel Aviv. Subsequently, A321LR aircraft will also be introduced on flights to destinations in North and South America, to those on the east coast.

Flight autonomy, up to 7400 kilometers, allows them to cover long distances without problems.

In March 2018, Airbus A321LR flew nonstop in the direction of Seychelles - Toulouse. It was a flight of 11 hours and traveled 7610 kilometers.

Currently, the TAP Air Portugal fleet counts 75 aircraft, all Airbus. It has 5 x A330-900neo, 6 x A321neo, 4 x A340-300, 13 x A330ceo and 45 of airplanes in the A320 family.
