The first Airbus A350 XWB Ethiopian Airlines was delivered

On 28 June, the first Airbus A350 XWB Ethiopian Airlines it was delivered. It is taken over by leasing from AerCap. Delivery of the first A350-900 opens new chapters for the East African air operator. However, Ethiopian Airlines is the first African airline with A350 XWB in the fleet.

The aircraft is configured in two classes: 30 seats in Business Class and 313 seats in Economy Class. The spaciousness, the quietness of the cabin, the LED lighting, all contribute to the comfort and welfare of the passengers. Airbus A350 XWB sets new standards in terms of flight experience.

Ethiopian Airlines placed an order for 14 aircraft A350 XWB. 12 will be delivered directly from the European manufacturer, and 2 will be rented from AerCap.

The aircraft will be used on long and very long routes, departing from Addis Ababa to destinations in Asia and America. The first commercial flight will be operated on 1 July. The first 2 routes served will be: Addis Ababa - Dubai and Addis Ababa - Lagos.
