On 28 November 2019, Airbus delivered the first Airbus A350 XWB SAS aircraft. It is part of a firm order of 8 aircraft, placed by the Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS).

Airbus A350-900 SAS has a cabin configured in 3 comfortable classes and 300 seats distributed as follows: 40 seats at "SAS Business", 32 seats at "SAS Plus" and 228 seats at "SAS Go".

The first Airbus A350 XWB SAS

On 28 January 2020, the first A350 XWB SAS will enter operational service on one of the longest routes in the SAS portfolio: Copenhagen-Chicago. Following that, it will fly to other destinations in the United States and Asia in the future.

Scandinavian Airlines System (short for SAS) is a multinational airline for Denmark and Sweden and SAS Braathens for Norway. SAS is the most important airline in the Nordic countries. It has a large fleet of 160 aircraft, of which 68 are Airbus. For long-haul flights, SAS operates with 9 A330 and 7 A340 aircraft. And from 2020 it will fly with A350-900.

As for the A350 XWB family of aircraft, we can say that it is a successful one. To date, it has recorded orders for 913 aircraft from 50 from customers around the world.
