First Airbus A350 XWB Singapore Airlines was painted, an operation that took place at the Airbus base in Toulouse. The aircraft is ready to receive engines and cabin furniture, then will begin ground and air tests. Delivery is scheduled for the first quarter of 2016.

Singapore Airlines has ordered 67 of A350 XWB aircraft, of which 7 will be Airbus A350-900ULR (Ultra-Long Range). It will use them on long routes to Europe, on very long routes to the United States, but also on regional routes.

The first Airbus A350-900 Singapore Airlines will fly to Amsterdam-Schiphol, and crew training flights will be to Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur.

Singapore Airlines will be the fifth company in the world with Airbus A350 in the fleet, following Qatar Airways (launch customer), Vietnam Airlines, Finnair and soon TAM Airlines. Singapore Airport serves A350-900 Qatar Airways and Finnair aircraft.
