The first Airbus A350 XWB ULR (Ultra Long Range) was assembled

On 28 February 2018, the first Airbus A350 XWB Ultra Long Range exited the assembly line at the base in Toulouse.

The end of February brings to the attention of the aviation press first Airbus A350 XWB ULR (Ultra Long Range). The aircraft departed from the Toulouse assembly line. This model will also have extended flight range will join the operational service with Singapore Airlines.

The Singapore air carrier ordered 7 aircraft Airbus A350-900ULR (Ultra Long Range), which will be used on the routes between Singapore and the United States, including the longest route Singapore - New York.

Returning to the first Airbus A350 XWB ULR (Ultra Long Range) aircraft, it was exposed on the platform where it will undergo rigorous testing. Then the Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines will be fitted.

After mounting the engines, the aircraft will undergo a comprehensive certification testing process. In order to develop a range of up to 17 964 kilometers (approximately 20 non-stop flight hours), the new Airbus A350 XWB ULR will be able to carry additional 24 000 of fuel without the need for additional tanks.

Airbus A350-900ULR (Ultra-Long Range) will offer the greatest flexibility in operational service, and the airlines will be able to reconfigure the planes according to the served destinations.
