The first electric tugboat came into operation on the platform of Henri Coanda Airport, Bucharest.

At a value of 250.000 euros (40% cheaper than one with a heat engine), the electric tug requires 80% less maintenance and has substantially reduced operating costs.

The entry into operation of this tug helps to reduce the airport's carbon emissions, thus improving its carbon footprint.

Henri Coanda Airport is certified by International Council of Airports (ICA) on carbon footprint at the level of "Optimization".

Airport Carbon Accreditation is one of the most important programs of ACI Europe, being managed by an independent structure, whose members are representatives of the European Commission, the UN Environment Program, the International Civil Aviation Organization, the European Civil Aviation Conference, the European Air Navigation Safety Organization.
