The importance of travel medical insurance during your vacation abroad!

It's been ten years since I started traveling frequently around the country, but also abroad. I traveled for tourism, business, conferences; I traveled alone or with family and friends. From the very first trip abroad, I took out medical insurance and travel cancellation insurance. I was advised to go on the road with these insurances because "you never know" what can happen, especially in a foreign country.

Vacationing abroad can be a wonderful time, but it can also be stressful.

From the time we step out the door of the house to the time we return, we are stressed about various topics such as catching the plane, getting to the hotel on time, managing transportation, staying healthy and avoiding potential dangers, etc.

Health insurance is a major concern when traveling to foreign countries. It is very important to be insured when it comes to our health during the trip, but also in case certain external factors beyond our control spoil our vacation plans.

No one wants to get sick while on vacation, and a health problem or injury can be one of the most devastating events that can happen during a trip. There are countries where, without medical insurance, you risk being charged for any consultation or medical procedure, even if you go to the emergency room. I tell you from experience that some medical services are expensive in many European countries and extremely expensive in non-EU countries.

Travel medical insurance protects you financially against possible medical costs during your trip, outside the country. With travel medical insurance you get rid of these unforeseen costs.

Medical insurance is also essential for family members. The most vulnerable are children. As a parent, I can tell you that you will do anything for your little one to be well and run to the doctor at the first health problem. Children are prone to indigestion, irritations, toothaches and even minor accidents.

You don't want to see your little ones suffer, especially when it comes to those unbearable teething pains. Medical insurance can help you save money if health problems arise on your travels, but to protect your children from cavities and toothaches, take them to a pedodontist (children's dentist).

From the time the milk teeth appear, the little ones must be taught to take care of their teeth by brushing their teeth correctly at least twice a day, in the morning and in the evening. And besides brushing your teeth, it's good to take them to a dentist Dental Clinic for routine checks. In this way you prevent dental problems, cavities and some problems that might arise when you don't expect it, like on vacation.

Health insurance also provides you with other services such as 24/7 emergency assistance; repatriation services; emergency transport and more.

Many of you may think that such inconveniences cannot happen to you, but it is better to go home with the insurance not activated than to need it and not have it. Travel responsibly! The costs of medical insurance vary depending on the country of destination, the period, the number of people and the services insured. But certainly the price is very low compared to those costs that can occur in case of medical emergencies. Travel insurance does not take into account the purpose of the trip, which can be tourist or business. The protection offered by the insurance comes into force at the start of the trip and ends at the end of the set term.
