Bucharest National Airport Company: profit of 76 million lei in the first nine months and increasing passenger traffic

In the first nine months of this year, the National Airports Company of Bucharest registered total revenues of 488 million lei, increasing by 7.5% compared to the same period of the year 2012, and the gross profit amounted to 76 million lei, three times higher than the budget for the whole year 2013. Total revenue for 2013 is estimated at 650 million lei.

Also in the first nine months of the year, the two Bucharest airports - Henri Coandă Bucharest International Airport and Bucharest-Baneasa Aurel Vlaicu International Airport - registered a total traffic of 5.866.317 passengers and 73.031 commercial aircraft movements (landings and takeoffs). Compared to the same period last year, the number of passengers increased by about 1%.

The evolution of the air traffic on the two airports of the National Company Bucharest Airports is part of the general trend registered at European level. According to statistics published by the Airport Council International (ACI), in the first eight months of this year, the number of passengers at the airports of the European Union increased by 0,3% compared to the same period in 2012.
