The new EURO 2012 terminal at Sergei Prokofiev International Airport

There are several weeks until the start of the European Championship 2012, and Ukraine is making the final preparations to welcome thousands of tourists. To take over the passenger flow, the airports in Donetsk, Kiev and Lviv have been upgraded.

Yesterday the EURO 2012 terminal at Sergei Prokofiev International Airport in Donetsk was inaugurated. The Ukrainian state has allocated over 780 millions of dollars for these projects of modernization of the airport, to which also added money from the private and local sector.

The new terminal will be ready for a flow of 3100 passengers per hour, with 38 of check-in stands and 2 special for large luggage.

The new terminal of Donetsk International Airport has a covered parking with a capacity of 605 cars. It also has links to an outdoor parking lot with a capacity of 1004 cars and 20 buses.

During the EURO 2012, the terminal will only receive international flights, and from August it will be operational for domestic flights as well.
