The new conditions for entry into Italy, valid until April 6, 2021
EMERGENCY: YES - until the April 30, 2021.
On March 30, 2021, the Italian Ministry of Health issued an ordinance that will apply between March 31 and April 6, 2021. According to it, persons who have been or transited the territory of Romania (Romania being included along with other states on list C of Annex 20 of the Decree of the President of the Council of Ministers) in the last 14 days prior to arrival in Italy, have the following obligations:
- present at the entry into Italian territory the negative result of a molecular test (PCR type) or antigen capture for the detection of SARS-CoV-2 virus infection, performed with maximum 48 hours before entry into Italian territory (given that the Italian authorities have not established a format / model of the certificate attesting the test result for SARS-CoV-2 virus infection, the MFA recommends that the document be written in Italian or English);
- to submit to the sanitary surveillance measure and to carry out the self-isolation for a period of 5 days, following the communication own entry into the national territory to the Prevention Department of the competent local health authority;
- after performing the 5 days of self-isolation, to be again undergo a buffer-type molecular or antigen test to detect SARS-CoV-2 virus infection.
Upon entering the territory of the Italian Republic, children under the age of 2 are exempted from the obligation to present a certificate. confirming that a buffer-type molecular diagnostic or antigen capture test with a negative result for SARS-CoV-2 virus infection has been performed.
CAREFUL! TAll persons living in Italy and wishing to travel to Romania must also undergo an RT PCR molecular test to detect SARS-CoV-2 virus infection no later than 72 hours before boarding.
