The passenger location form will no longer be mandatory in Romania, after the Government repealed on Friday GEO no. 129/2021, announced the spokesman of the Executive, Dan Cărbunaru, quoted by agerpres.ro.

"The ordinance repealing GEO no. 129/2021 on the implementation of the digital entry form in Romania. Practically, the Government, by repealing this ordinance, taking into account the termination of the alert established in Romania, respectively the termination of the applicability of measures adopted to prevent and combat the COVID-19 pandemic, eliminated the obligation to complete the digital entry form in Romania by 72 hours before entering the country or with a maximum of 24 hours after entering the country. The passenger location form will no longer be mandatory on the national territory", Said Cărbunaru, at Victoria Palace.

He added that some states have maintained this type of form, so those who want to travel abroad must check the conditions of entry into those countries.

"Citizens traveling from Romania to other states will need to verify that the states in which they are traveling or transiting are requesting the completion of such a form.", Mentioned Dan Cărbunaru
