On 30 August 2016, ANTONOV Company (Ukroboronprom SC) and Aerospace Industry Corporation of China (AICC) have signed a cooperation agreement on the AN-225 program. The first stage of this collaboration consists in the construction of the 2 NOTHING Mriya to ANTONOV Company and its delivery to AICC.

The second stage is related to the serial production of the AN-225 model. The new aircraft will be manufactured in China, under ANTONOV license. Both stages will be performed in accordance with the appropriate contracts.
