The United Arab Emirates donated 11 tons of medical equipment to Greece

Thursday evening, March 26, 2020, 11 tons of medical equipment arrived in Athens. The merchandise was donated by the United Arab Emirates. According to the Greek government, they will immediately arrive in hospitals across the country and will help medical staff to continue the fight against COVID-19.

According to a statement issued by the Greek Government, the cargo was transported on board a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner belonging to Etihad Airways. Medical equipment includes masks, gloves and disinfection products.

The Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, personally thanked His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the United Arab Emirates and His Highness Sheikh Tahnoon Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Consil of the United Arab Emirates.
