Top 20 airlines 2017 / Qatar Airways, declared the best airline in the world!

Voted by passengers around the world, the Doha-based carrier won not only the title of World's Best Business Class, World's Best First Class Lounge and Best Airline in the Middle East.

In second place in the world is another favorite company of the public, Singapore Airlines, which also received the title of Best Airline in Asia, World's Best Business Class seat and Best Premium Economy Onboard Catering.

Qatar Airways, the best airline in the world

The World Airline Awards represent a landmark in the field of quality and excellence in the aviation industry, an annual competition that is based on the vote of travelers around the world. We are talking about an equivalent of the Oscars, but in the aviation industry, it is a highly prized competition for the transparency of the processes and for its independent character (there is no external influence).

The UK Advertising Authority (ASA) evaluated, in 2015, how the voting process and interpretation of results are conducted and concluded that they are clear, compliant with regulations and independent.

Top 20 airlines on 2017

The research allows any airline in the world to be nominated, followed by passengers choosing their favorites. At this edition 325 was registered by airlines. There were registered 19,87 of millions of valid participations in the study, representing 105 nationalities, and the vote was open from August 2016 until May 2017.

There were nominated very large companies, renowned in the aeronautical industry, but also small, regional operators, and the quality criteria, in number of 41, targeted the front-line products, the services in the airport and on board. Here is the complete list of winners in different categories:
