From February 17, Bucharest joins the major league of tourist destinations that have tourist travel cards. Thus, starting with February 17, 2022, a tourist arriving at the “Henri Coandă” International Airport (Otopeni) will be able to reach the North Railway Station in Bucharest with this card, and from here he will be able to use both the Metro and the means of transport. surface in the entire Bucharest-Ilfov region.

Tourists will have at their disposal two types of integrated subscription on all three transport networks, namely:

  • Tourist travel card - subscription valid for 24 hours, at the price of 20 lei;
  • Tourist travel card - subscription valid for 72 hours, at the price of 40 lei;

The integrated 24 and 72 hour subscriptions can be charged on existing cards issued by STB SA and Metrorex, but will also be available on pre-loaded cards at all STB SA operator centers, at Metrorex SA ticket offices, as well as at sale of CFR SA and Transferoviar.

The tariff integration of urban public transport with the metropolitan railway is a pilot project in which the integrated season tickets can be used in a first phase only for the route that connects Otopeni International Airport "Henri Coanda" to the North Station (including from the stations Mogosoaia and Otopeni). TPBI, together with the partner institutions, intends that, later, this type of subscription will be extended to the future metropolitan railway transport lines, lines that are now in the project phase.
