Transaero received the first Airbus A321 from the fleet

On 3 August 2015, Transaero Airlines, the second largest airline in Russia, took possession of the first Airbus A321-200 (EI-VKO) in the fleet. The reception was held at the airport Vnukovo, Moscow, in the presence of officials from Airbus and Vnukovo, as well as representatives of the media. The aircraft was delivered on the basis of a contract between Transaero and ICBC Leasing Company.

The Airbus A321 Transaero is powered by two CFM56 engines and configured in two classes: 8 seats in business class and 176 seats in economy class. The airline intends to operate the A321 aircraft on premium international routes.

The plane is painted in the new livery Transaero, the one presented in May 2015. At the same time, Amur Tiger Center and Transaero Airlines presented a joint project regarding the protection of the environment and of the rare and endangered species. Based on this project, Transaero painted a Boeing 747-400 aircraft in a special livery. Sponsored by COALCO, the “nose” the plane received the unmistakable head of an Amur tiger.

Transaero Airlines started operations in November 1991, currently operating around 200 routes worldwide.
