Travel alert in the Netherlands: code snow, frost and blizzard

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs Romanian citizens who are, transit or wish to travel to the Kingdom of the Netherlands that, according to information published by the Dutch authorities, in period 6-8 February 2021, a red code of snow, frost and blizzard was issued, preceding Darcy's snowstorm.

During the day of February 7, 2021 snow cover can reach 20 cm and snow trojans can form. Also, a blizzard is forecast, likely to reduce visibility by up to 50 m. 

Unfavorable weather conditions can lead to flight delays and cancellations at all Dutch airports and can also affect the running of trains. COVID-19 testing and vaccination centers will remain closed.

The Dutch authorities recommend that drivers adapt their driving speed to the weather conditions and observe the temporary signs.
