As we announced yesterday, Greece imposes new entry rules at the Promachonas border crossing. Starting Wednesday, July 15, 00.01 (GMT + 3), all travelers entering Greece via the Promachonas border crossing are required to present a negative molecular test result (PCR) for COVID-19. It must be done up to 72 hours before entering Greece in a laboratory with RT-PCR - harvesting with oropharyngeal or nasopharyngeal swab.

Greece imposes new entry conditions

Certificates must be translated into English and bear the name and details of the passenger's identity document.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reminds that the presentation of this test does not exclude the obligation to complete the electronic form PLF (Passenger Locator Form) 24 hours before entering Greece, nor the possibility of random testing upon entry into the territory of the Hellenic Republic.

But until July 14, Greece will implement the new changes and the PLF system will not be available for those passing through Promachonas, until Tuesday, 00:01. Travelers with already issued PLF forms will still be able to cross the Promachonas border. But passengers without a PLF form will not be allowed to enter and should blame his trip for Wednesday, July 15th.

In other words, those who were more diligent and conscientious can now have the form completed, the QR code received and can enjoy the trip even in the coming days. Whoever left everything for the last 24 hours will have to reschedule your trip starting with July 15, at 00:01.

It should be noted that the other border points remain closed.

    Hi Sorin.
Does the Covid test for entry into Greece have to be done by all passengers in the same car even if they are from the same family or is just one enough?
    Thank you.

    1. Sorin Rusi says

Everyone must have the COVID-19 test done
